Nishikori had the match of his life tonight.
All he needs to do now is reach the final and retire for Novak.

That was woeful from Muzza. The breaks in set two completely ruined him. Played like a moran from then on. The last two guys he's lost to have been players he's historically and recently dominated. He concentrates better against the more dangerous guys.
Djokovic will probably stay world number one for another three years. Has Monfils pulled out yet?

I don't think he needs to worry about number one, just grab a couple of more slams before he starts to decline in the next couple of years. This was a great chance to ride on the momentum built but he blew it. He needs to win an Australian. If he ends his career having not won one of those after so many finals it would be ridiculous.

6-3, 6-2 so far as Novak sleepwalks into the final.
Will be 3-3 in the third in a few quick points.

2-5!
Surely can't be long until Monfils retires.

From 0-40 down Monfils takes the third set 6-2.
Every chance they both might die in this heat.
