I can't take much more of Gibbs as a wingback.

    Done.

    Probably means Gibbs is off.

    Great signing.
NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.

Know nothing about him except the fact he's free, another Wenger opportunist buy, who knows if he'll be any good, plenty of examples that did ok and plenty that were hopeless. Let's hope he's not another Xhaka.

Keep an open mind for now, he's bound to be an upgrade on Gibbs if nothing else. I'm much more interested in what forward(s) we buy than anything else.

I know him from the Bundesliga very well. There, he has been performing consistently well over the last year. He is a very aggresive player, who, however, sometimes exaggerates it with the hardness in two-combat. I think he is certainly a reinforcement for the team and he will be able to adapt quickly to the higher pace in the Premier Leage.

I'll reserve judgment, people who had seen Xhaka thought he was good too and he's been rubbish so we'll see.

I've never seen him play but he comes with quite a good reputation. Looking forward to seeing him play.

I have two questions - Is he solid defensively and can he cross?

If he was our prime target regardless of money then fine.....but if it was massively swayed by price then I'm dubious about the approach.
