That's modern day football, thing is if Hazard hadn't gone down he probably wouldn't have got the penalty, players make a meal of it to make sure it's noticed these days, perhaps not right but then if you didn't get the penalty you wouldn't be happy either.

Dont think the rules actually say that. The contact must impede the player sufficient to deny him a scoring chance, otherwise there would be 10 pens each game. It is a decision solely up to the ref.

What a way to start 2018, with AW's Arsenal doing what they do best.......

If it had been any of the other top 6 teams playing the way we did today, at home, against an indifferent Chelsea side, scoring the 1st goal we did... the game would have ended with a 2 goal difference... minimum....

But AW's Arsenal can't defend and haven't been able to grasp the concept of defending for over a decade now since GG's ghost stopped helping him out.

Just look at the clear chances Morata got despite being saddled with 3 grown centre backs- contrast that to the scraps Lacazette had to make due with despite his huffing and puffing.. it's so pathetic that you know that all a decent team needs to do against us once we score is pile the pressure and they are guaranteed a bone. It's getting so predictable that even if he played 5 CBs and had De Gea in goal , the outcome will still be something like this, because they radiate "pussy" (for lack of a better word ) .... and we all know what the "P" is good for.....

So yeah, pretty entertaining attacking performance but Zero confidence when defending- which means we will go no where this year as usual.

I actually enjoyed the game (seeing as I expected it to go the way it did)..... but the worst thing about today occured after the whistle- seeing AW mini punching the air and all our players so happy and relieved.... and then it dawns on you.........The Arsenal has truly become a mid-table side, London's new Everton!!

Our defenders were horrible but Wilshere and Xhaka were doing the defenders no justice either. They were getting cut apart at will, always reacting after someone had already gone past them. Absolutely clueless off the ball.

At least Wilshere contributed to the attack and scored a good goal. Xhaka offers nothing to attack OR defence. He doesn't control the game, his passing is average, he can't tackle, he doesn't score, he shits himself when someone closes him down and he gives every team free counter attacks against us with his carelessness. What DOES he do??!
