OK, let me try this. Parlour won a lot of trophies. I have a lot of respect for Parlour, he did a job and worked really hard. But is he one of the GOATs? No, he just happened to be in an amazing team. He played his part in that but he wasn't a stand out player in that team.
My issue with F1 is it's as much a constructor's competition as it is a drivers one.
Give 'em all the same car and let God sort them out, I say.
I don't think it's an unreasonable question to ask people who actually follow F1 how they rate Hamilton against other drivers who have achieved similar things.
The cars they have been in is part of that assessment.
