    World Cup 2026

To be hosted by USA, Canada and Mexico.

This World Cup will also have 48 teams. More pub teams and weird group stages where you don’t have to even win games to progress.

    Good work, FIFA.

Oh also, why have the US hosted this twice now despite not collectively giving a rat's ass about "soccer", and England only once when, as crap as we are, we actually care about it and have the BLitW ™

    24 teams each
NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.

I think it’s because they want to grow the game in parts of the world where football isn’t the be all and end all. Plus it’s probably all crooked as fuck anyway.

Yeah, they tried that in '94. Didn't really work. You can't force a sport on a population who mostly don't care about it. These things are ingrained culturally.

What worries me is this might revive all the c**p they talked about last time it was in the USA - like having quarters instead of halves, kick-ins instead of throw-ins - oh well i guess it gives the old blazers at FIFA something to do inbetween getting drunk and harrassing hotel maids etc
