When they don't have a striker who melds into their system (Villa or Torres for the few years he was good), they're pointless. Stick Costa in the Euro/World Cup winning teams and this would happen.
My thoughts are that FIFA have made it such a point to encourage attacking play- everything is set up in the game to benefit attackers, it actually has the reverse affect.
