Not a great surprise Wolves won, Liverpool played a weakened team, it's one of the reasons this competition is losing it's prestige, clubs don't take it that seriously anymore.

To be honest if we were going for the league I wouldn't care much for this either.
NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.
For the top clubs it's very much 3rd priority but it still has a certain something about it.
I think the reaction on here when we won the first one shows the fans still care about it. Part of that was sheer relief but there wouldn't have been that kind of reaction had we won the league cup.
It will still be one of the bigger clubs that win it regardless of what precedes it or which teams don't take it seriously.
It’s definitely a level above the League Cup in terms of prestige and it’s always been something I cherish seeing us win. If we had a realistic shot at winning the league though, then I would totally understand sacking it off.
