The Emirates FA Cup fourth round draw will take place at Molineux on Monday 7 January, after Wolverhampton Wanderers’ third round tie against Liverpool.

The draw will be live on BBC One and will be conducted by former Wolves duo Carl Ikeme and Robbie Keane.

The fourth round is scheduled to take place between Friday 25 January and Monday 28 January.

Winning clubs will receive £180,000 after The FA doubled the prize fund at the beginning of the season.
Apologies for the shouting but it is lifted directly from the FA website.

Half of Mesut's wages on the line to win this tie.

It's a massive surprise why the FA Cup has lost its lustre for so many clubs.

Anyway fuck them so come on Arsenal for Fourteen.

it was a real shame to see so many supporters staying away from the ties (and i don't just mean Blackpool)

the weekend's results show that clubs can still cause upsets and have really exciting results - i really enjoyed watching all the highlights and yesterdays' Newport-Leics game - it made a real change from the PL which is getting boring apart from our own games plus liverpool and city

It's because we're saturated with so much football these days. The PL is marketed in such a way than when there is a break in the schedule it feels like a huge come down.

The FA don't help themselves though by offering peanuts as prize money.

maybe offer a Champions League spot to the winners, as surely winning something is more important than the prize money.

anyway Newport at home would be nice. Liverpool away not so nice (assuming they go through of course)

The FA Cup has become a bit of a nothing competition for various reasons, firstly clubs (we were one of the first) listing it further down in the list of priorities and playing weakened teams, for years we've prefered to win nothing but come 4th, this has consequences on the cup competitions.

The money is another big part of course, the CL is basically all about money and the FA Cup can't compete, sad really this use to be such a great competition, but thanks to greed it's now a 2nd rate competition (still nice to win it of course).

You can't treat the competition like this and expect to keep the same prestige, I guess the prize money could be increased but it probably needs to be marketed a bit better to make it more appealing, semi final weekend use to be very very special, now it sometimes feel like a little bit of a sideshow where games are just slotted in where possible, it use to be an almost all day thing on.

You couldn't have a CL spot available for it either as isn't that decided by UEFA?

If they took away CL spots from the league it might help a bit, giving the Europa League a CL spot of the winners has certainly helped make that competition more appealing to bigger clubs who can see the riches at the end of it now.
