Interesting. Maybe something about women's rights being more advanced in Europe and so women's leagues being more common/professional and the standard being higher?

Felt more sorry for Japan last night who outplayed The Netherlands and got a harsh (again, correct by the letter of the law) pen against them to knock them out late in the game.
I don't like the new handball rule, it seems you only have to blast a ball from point blank range these days against someone's arm and it's a penalty.
