Seriously that's what cup games should be about, fuck the whole two legs business, that favours the big teams, although admittedly playing many games ovwe a short period also does that to an extent

I quite like the two legs thing in Europe, it's more of an occasion and when you have to travel across countries I think having a game in each country is fairer.
But I do like the one off nature of the FA Cup. Our win wasn't a fluke - the City and Chelsea wins were well deserved - but there's always an element of luck in one off games.

Yeah, maybe you're right about the CL, but i really wish they'd dump two legs and replays in things like the League Cup, though admittedly it's a trophy so rubbish we never bother to win it anyway

It is weird that the League Cup randomly goes to 2 legs in the semi-final.
IMO PL clubs shouldn't be in the competition.

Agree, but the TV money would go through the floor without the bigger clubs, it's the same reason for the two-leg semis i think, as that's the point where they're mostly or entirely all that's left

I also read that there will be no FA Cup replays next year. Think I vaguely approve although I did like a good Cup Replay back in the day.
We won the 93 Final in a replay of course which I think we can all agree was thoroughly enjoyable, but it is a bit weird being at an FA Cup Final replay on a Thursday night.

Yeah i think replays had their time, but not so fussed now, they are lucrative for small clubs sometimes i guess
