Arsenal V Aston Villa, September 22, KO 1630

Hoping to see a front three of Saka, Auba and Pepe

At the back, I am hoping to see Holding and Chambers in CB

And praying that Xhaka is too drunk to play, or pulls his groin getting jiggy with good ebening.

Arsene Wenger, the only football manager that got paid 8 million quid to do nothing but sit on his arse..

sadly though i agree i think the best we can hope for is Auba and Pepe from that list

i'm almost at the point where i hope we lose as that might prompt Raul and co. to pull the trapdoor lever

We won't have many of the kids playing tomorrow I'd have thought, not after having just seen we play on Tuesday against Forest.

If we can't get 3 points here then sack Emery on the spot.

Not even that, we need to win convincingly.

Another scrappy performance won't be good enough.
NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.

Struggling to muster much enthusiasm for this - feels like we’ve hit a wall with Emery, and all we’re really doing now is looking for the right opening / excuse to move him on? Anything in between just feels like clock-watching.

Hopefully some of younger players and newbies will provide a bit of interest along the way...

I think a fair few never thought he would be the man to spearhead a title challenge as early as last year, but the wave of opposition and scepticism about him recently has been pretty emphatic!

I think he may well be able to put it together enough to take us into the CL next season but I he doesn't seem like marriage material.

I think its the lack of progress that worries the most, despite a better set of players at his disposal this year

I think you can give a manager time when he’s building his own squad, but you can see an identifiable game plan, and a decisiveness in his actions.

I can accept not getting results if you understand what he’s trying to achieve.

In Emery’s case, I don’t think there is any rooted structure in the way the team plays, and he’s not solved problems which are relatively simple to get right. I have no idea how Emery’s Arsenal play. We’re so passive it’s untrue.
It's better to burn out, than to fade away.

I don't think Emery does either
