Difference between our record and Liverpool's approaching one - there's literally nothing in this league to seriously challenge them. We had to beat Utd at the top of their game. Plus all the pubbers who used to kick us a mile up in the air. tbf, Utd used to kick us 2 miles in the air.

This is a super easy league to win. Not to take it away from them, it's still hard to turn up 40 times and not lose even one. But nobody could sincerely claim there's anything out there to give them a game. Even here, Wolves were decent enough, but they have players like Jeto, or Neto, or whatever their pub names are.

They've been on a long run which to be honest will eclipse ours because they've won all but 1 game in this run which dates back to last season when Man City were outstanding as well. 40 games unbeaten now and only 5 draws in that time.

2 English teams got to the CL final last season so the PL can't be that bad, Liverpool won it and the year before were in the final, we never got there with that side as good as they were.

Our record was phenomenal, no doubt about it, we had a great team with great players, but Liverpool if they beat it will be unbelievable, to have won so many and drawn just 1 game and coming through all the tests they've had whilst also being European Champions is unparalled.

The funny thing is that plenty of teams have made it hard work for Liverpool but they always seem to find a way to win in the end.

It is incredible what they’re doing. It’s no fluke or anomaly, this team have won the Champions League (also reached another final previously) and would have won the league in any other season in history last year.

I don’t think there’s any discernible way to discredit them.

Let’s just hope they losing pretty fucking soon so we can cling on to past glories.

Yes I agree, the sign of a great team is when that you keep getting the results, Man U used to do it with those last minute goals, we used to when we were behind even with 10 men at times and would turn it around to win and Liverpool keep doing it even when it looks like it might not happen.

The succession of wins is just incredible to be honest, 1 draw all season, 40 games unbeaten, a CL title to boot, that's just amazing, a much as our achievement was amazing in it's own right and nothing can discredit it, if Liverpool beat it it would be extraordinary.

They'll also probably break the points record for a season in the process. I think we just have to hope someone can stop them, Man City are the obvious ones.

Oddly, we've been getting results when we've gone down to ten men recently.

Beat Villa, drew away at Palace and Chelsea. We've been on the end of some pathetic officiating in all these matches too.

We saw against Chelsea that we instantly started playing better when we lost a player. The team seems to respond to adversity, despite the cliches that have followed Arsenal over the last two decades. Cliches that encompass three different managers, hundreds of players and multiple playing styles.

Essentially, we're a plucky, gritty underdog team now that can only get pumped for certain matches or situations, much like the current Manchester United and Liverpool before Klopp and in Klopp's first couple of seasons.
