A Hong Kong study of the virus reveals how it has split into 3 strains, labelled types A, B and C, with all originating from Wuhan. The strain that travelled to the US is predominantly A, whereas in Europe type C is now dominant.

US to mobilise 30,000 troops stationed in Italy to help fight the pandemic. They will build hospitals and help support and treat non-COVID19 cases. Genuine aid supplies will also be sent, as opposed to the cynical propaganda mission launched by the Chinese which SOLD Italy's own supplies back to them after they had originally been sent as humanitarian aid during the first Wuhan outbreak.

It's the absolute minimum, by which time the chance of transmission has significantly reduced - entirely dependent on the specific environment. In this case a supermarket. Outdoors the profile would be different. In an elevator, on a plane or on the tube, different again (to a catastrophic degree). That's why masks are essential, as all Asian populations already know. The lies (which is a precise description of what has happened) about masks were not designed to get more people infected, although that will have been the outcome of those lies. They were designed to prevent a run on masks that could have prevented the health services from obtaining them. And some might therefore say the lies were acceptable. But it would have been better to adequately prepare for a pandemic, as real scientists have urged for decades. That way, lies would not have been necessary.
As I have been saying all along, lies aren't much help and can be very dangerous for the individual on the ground. Whatever the intent behind the constant stream of lies we have been fed since this crisis began, in order to make informed decisions as an individual you need solid science and solid facts. There are sometimes competing goals in play, goals for the overall population and goals for the individual. Science is often subverted to service the former at the expense of the latter.
This is likely why the death toll is being inflated. To keep people afraid and inside and prevent the spread. A worthy goal again, but still a lie and still an abuse of science. Most people would have agreed to stay inside anyway, I'm guessing. I know I would. I know many people I have spoken to, the vast majority, would have agreed. Some would have refused and some have in fact refused. So now the lie must get bigger. To stop this horrific, artificial death toll rising even further, civil liberties must be curtailed by force. One lies that probably wasn't necessary leading to dreadful outcomes that are far worse in the long run.
