btw - Hospitals have tons of PPE - this zero PPE bullshit is fake news. The trouble is, the virus has had such a minor impact (compared to the dire predictions), the PPE was sent all around the country when it needed to be sent to centres of outbreak. Many hospitals are empty. No COVID19 patients, but also no regular patients because they are afraid to go to the hospital because of the media fear porn campaign. These people will likely be unspoken casualties of this mass panic.

The media has murdered many people. Maybe manslaughter. Depends. When you kill somebody, for personal gain in this case, but you don't actually know them - is it murder or manslaughter? Interesting legal question.

Will the media executives go to jail?

I love this story.
But I do think the calls for him to be knighted are a bit silly.
He's a very sweet old man and it's great he's managed to raise so much money but the only reason he has is this somehow went viral.
Otherwise he'd just be a sweet old codger who raised a few hundred pounds. Nice and feelgood, sure, but not really newsworthy.
It's the fact it's all gone viral which makes this a story, and that's not really down to him.

He got off his arse and done something that actually made a different - provided some cunt doesn't find a way to steal all the money.

He's amore deserving recipient of a knighthood than most. The original idea of a knight was to represent those who could not represent themselves. Knights were actually extremely ethical characters who would give their lives in support of principle. That was their ideal demise.

So sure, give him a knighthood. Unlike the cunts who already got bestowed, he fits the actual, historical criteria.
