By the way, I checked this out and it's actually the World Health Organisation who have indicated that the epicentre could be moving to the US.
The media have simply reported that

Ah yes, the World "Health" Organisation. Instead of condemning China for trying to hide the outbreak (and thereby causing the pandemic), they have praised them for the "extraordinary measures" taken (by the Chinese regime).

That was on 30 Jan when WHO finally decided to declare the Wuhan Virus a public health emergency of international concern. On the 23rd the WHO decided not to recommend travels restrictions, even though millions of Chinese were being quarantined. On the 5th Jan whistleblowers warned a person-to-person transmissible SARS like disease was spreading. The WHO released a statement advising there was "no evidence" of person-to-person transmission.

The WHO has been in this with the Chinese, up to their necks from the start. Much like they bent over for the Yanks and the Brits when they reached the astonishing and laughable conclusion that depleted uranium in the water supply is not a public health threat.

One of the most politically motivated and untrustworthy organisations on the planet and right now, for whatever reason or shady deal, playing on the Chinese team.

Yes. To remind you, this conversation started where I posted a link to a BBC article which stated that the US now has more cases than anywhere else.
You called it fake news - which is is not, the BBC article was factually correct
Then you asserted that the deaths per population in the US was lower than anywhere but Germany - which is untrue, and with 80,000+ active cases the numbers there are almost certainly get worse, how much worse remains to be seen.
