Not sure any country is immune to a recession though, even those such as New Zealand who are regularly cited as the model to copy for Covid.

Basically agree, but I do think the mismanagement of the situation has exacerbated the situation, both in terms of deaths and effects on the economy.
Shutting down pubs and restaurants a week before Christmas with basically no notice is a case in point.

Also a very valid point and legitimate complaint over teh governments handling of it. Their mixed messaging has been awful.

Still. At least the vaccination rollout is going well.
Almost everyone who can remember Spurs win the league has been done already.

it's the problem when you put habitual liars in charge of situations where there are immovable facts which they and their mates in the papers simply can't make go away
