This is so surreal. I mean people are idiots for not following the advice but I don’t think they comprehend the severity of what is going on, particularly if they’re from an area not overwhelmed by the disease.

Stay at home you dumb fucks. Although I’m glad we can still get a bit of exercise, otherwise I’d go loopy.

Capacity of a London Underground Central Line train is around 1,000 (probably more when people are crammed on as they were today)

Working with 1,000 people, let's say 2% are infected. That's 20 people. In normal circumstances they will have infected 25 more people, but packed on a train like that it's likely to be 45 new infections. So that's 65 people in total. Within 5 weeks, those 65 infections alone will have spread to an estimated 26,000 people. Of those, 20% might get sick enough to require hospitalisation. That's 5,200 hospital beds, and all the equipments, medicines and not to mention the staff. In Spain, 10% of the medical staff have ended up catching the infection. So add vital health workers to the total and assume some of those will die. Along with potentially 180 victims originating from that train journey. Yet there's a good chance not one passenger from that train will die.

    That's one train.

Meanwhile, having screamed at Johnson to impose martial law and throw open the concentrations camps, true to form the media is now criticising him for restricting liberties. Not directly, but they are suggesting it's "worrying."

And having shamed people who refused to stay indoors, the BBC is encouraging *US* not to be so mean! The Sun is warning of "House Arrest!"

I think there has never been anything lower and more despicable than the mainstream media. The lowest of the lowest of the low.

That bit made me laugh - i've no doubt funerals will now become huge pissups with hundreds of people attending (admittedly some are like that already) - who knows, people might even start killing each other so they can have a few more parties...

MrsL went to the shops this morning but couldn't get much.
No chicken or cold meats. She did manage to get some bread from the bakery part of Sainsbury's, the sort you have to slice yourself.
    Probably be quite nice though.
Will probably go for my once a day walk later

    Day 1 of WFH

Bored. Can't even flirt with Katie now I'm not in the office.
    What's the point?
NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.
