People need a God in order to rationalise why their lives are such a mess and why they should do nothing about it. Has worked like a charm for 5000 years. I do believe in God but I believe humanity are just an experiment that he did just to make him chuckle. He is not at all bothered by our gross stupidity and cruelty to one another.

I also believe in aliens. Not believing in other intelligent beings is like an ant in a colony who doesnt believe in humans.

Meanwhile in the UK, to make things safer "Casinos, bowling alleys, skating rinks and soft play centres will also be allowed to resume, as will "close-contact" beauty services such as facials, eyebrow threading and eyelash treatments."

Those balls at soft play centres have been tested previously and are covered in pretty much every type of human excretion you can think of, but hey, never mind, it'll be safe everyone...

I don’t care what their balls are covered in (stop it).
There haven’t been piles of toddler bodies on every street corner since soft play was invented.
Kids need to be exposed to bacteria and viruses, that’s how their immune system is built.

Stop whining about your ruined holiday!
Have you really not understood how volatile everything is right now?


(I hereby still reserve the right to whine if my holiday next month is cancelled, but we aren’t going abroad so I’m declaring that different)

I certainly won’t be complaining if I’m forced to quarantine after my holiday next month. Won’t affect my work and I’ve got plenty of people around me to help with things like shopping etc. Plus I kind of enjoyed saving all that money during lockdown by not doing anything socially.

Yeah, we have saved quite a lot too.
Not commuting, not going out.
And at the start of this we didn’t have much savings (we used to have, then we bought a car so now we don’t )
So there wasn’t much of a safety net if things went south at work.
Am a bit more relaxed about things now but was worried for a bit.

I’ll be annoyed if our holiday next month doesn’t happen. I’ve already had 2 breaks cancelled this year.
But I’ll get my money back so it wouldn’t be a disaster
