The gym in our building is only allowing pre-booked slots, which obviously means you can only book about a week in advance.
Grumble grumble.
You used to be everything to me
Now you're tired of fighting
Basically it looks like anywhere that serves booze is seen as the biggest threat of the virus spreading.
I mean, drunk people are famously idiots, but it's a pretty token gesture to stop these places opening when there are so many other ways of mixing with people and spreading this thing which are allowed.
We are right on the edge of London anyway so could technically nip across the "border". You're not supposed to but who's going to check?!
It's not the booze, because you can still walk into any supermarket and get what you want. It's the social aspect. When you have an increasingly compromised media that has become virtually useless in terms of providing impartial news, social media platforms that openly gloat about censorship and punish people for speaking about prohibited issues, political correctness in the workplace, schools, where else can people get together and have open and frank discussions that, currently, go unmonitored by the state and security services? It's the pub itself that's under attack, not the booze.
Für eure Sicherheit
Oh, of course. It's all about that
But pubs in Tier 2 and 1 are open, they're not attacking those ones. Strange.
It takes quite a lot of effort to explain the basic realities to some people.
You can point at the law that quite openly decrees protests of more than 2 people are illegal. Or visiting your elderly relative in a care home is prohibited. Or the state mandating who may or may not enter your own private home, etc, etc. Literally in your face but some people will say, no, no, no, it's all a mistake. The real fight will be to try and establish a majority of people who are aware enough to believe their own eyes and ears. But that has always been the fight.
Für eure Sicherheit
You are the only person on here who thinks you are dealing in reality
You are not.
Your paranoia is, as always, making you feel that any regulation being made is part of some scheme to oppress you rather than a response to a situation (whether that response is the correct one is a different discussion).
It's obviously a response because that response has changed over time and now varies by region depending on the data.
Again, I don't think it's the right response.
Do remember that you predicted we'd have the army on the street keeping us all in our houses.
You said Covid tests would be mandatory.
You said that curfews would be implemented and that there would be checkpoints.
None of this has happened. Now, there's nothing wrong with making wrong predictions of course. But come on dude, try a bit of introspection. Try considering that you being wrong about these things is because you're wrong about "them" trying to crush and oppress you. They're trying to deal with a crisis. They're making a bloody hash of it of course, but still. They're not interested in keeping you locked in your house or controlling every aspect of your life to the degree you imagine.
So wales is heading back into lockdown it seems on 28th December.
There previous two week lockdown worked wonders
I think our government have been shit at handling this crisis but wales & Scotland are proving they are just as bad
