Sounds like the BBC were misjudged in repeating the word just because his family asked them to, i think i'm right in saying they wouldn't say that word normally so why change your rules just because one person asks you too?

Also a massive overreaction though, this really is getting very counter-productive at times

The judge literally says that the joke was offensive.
And I agree, I can see that some people would be offended, but we are going down a dangerous road if we are deeming “being offensive” illegal. Offence is subjective.
I believe the judge also said that context isn’t relevant here! How can it not be relevant?! It’s context that gives something meaning. Strange times we are living in.

I found the stats before and have now forgotten them but it's something like 90% of people who are stopped and searched are male.
Why is no-one railing against systematic police sexism? Because everyone understands why they stop mostly males.
And if they looked at the stats they'd understand why other profiling is done, but you're not allowed to talk about that..

Well, there's such a thing as cause and effect, maybe if you were treated like a criminal all the time, you'd think 'well i might as well be one'

That's more cops than i've seen outside of a football match in years. Round my way we can't get them out to deal with the dangerous driving, drug dealing, da yout' using nitrous oxide on street corners etc (mainly done by white people btw), yet they turn up in droves for a stop and search

I call bullshit on black people being treated like criminals all the time in this country.
Take the point about the number of police who sometimes attend these things, I've seen videos like that too. Maybe the thinking is it could escalate if more people get involved?
