It's staggering how mainstream media can twist a reality and repeat it enough times so that enough people believe it. Trump crossed the North Korean border to hold face to face talks. He bombed an empty base in Iran when even his staunchest allies were screaming at him to bomb everything, probably the most dangerous moment for a president's own personal safety that any has faced since JFK made a comparable "mistake" and deprived the warmongers of their war. If you mean he killed terrorists (that Obama had been funding), ripped up another major funding deal for Iran (Obama again) and aimed a few nasty tweets you also need to consider the outcomes when determining how successful those strategies turned out to be. No war with Korea. No war with Iran, and Israel held back on several occasions from starting a war we probably all would have dragged into.

Despite the determined efforts of almost everyone around him. Why not look at the people continuously voting for war before jumping on those who don't?

Oh yeah. I forgot about the early days of the Trump Presidency when two nuclear powers were conducting international diplomacy by Twitter flame wars

You first sentence states the MSM can twist a reality so enough people believe it and yet then in your third sentence, you twist reality.

Trump did not just bomb an empty base, he ordered the attack that killed Soleimani which greatly risked provocation from Iran in response. He was warned not to carry out that attack by people like Lindsay Graham which says a lot given he is usually very hawkish on Iran. Iran responded by attacking an American base.

The withdrawal from the Iran deal increased attacks on shipping in the gulf area.

With North Korea, what has he achieved really? they haven’t given up their nukes, or committed to running a free country. He got some photos and that is about it.

Self awareness is not really NQ’s forte.

And yes, I more or less agree about person of the year.
They give it to the person they deem more influential in the year (not necessarily an influence for good, Hitler famously won it one year). I guess they won the election (yes they did, NQ, dry your eyes), but you’re basically right in that their influence (for good or ill) won’t be felt till next year.
That said, they did give it to Trump 4 years ago so I guess at least they’re consistent.

Wait a second. We were discussing the wars he "almost" started. Are you changing the topic now?

What has Trump achieved by not starting wars with North Korea and Iran? Discuss.

Even if he's achieved nothing, that nothing would include an absence of war.
