Parler was used by MAGA cultists to spread hate speech and incite violence. Parler did nothing to clamp down on that so Amazon have every right to do what they did.

What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.

You see, that's not true at all. Unlike in the UK, many judges in the US are elected by their communities, as are sheriffs and other local and state officials. Which is not to say these individuals can't and don't have political leanings, but that's not the basis on which they run for public office. It's a very different system over there, much more democratic than here.

The higher courts are made up of political appointees. Even so, they are expected to apply the law. When I referenced their political actions it was referring to the aftermath of the election. The courts, in this instance, have refused to apply the law, thus denying the injured party recourse. With the legal route denied and now public speech being denied it leaves only two options, acceptance or civl disobedience. Most will accept because they are not invested in their own fates and leave that to others to decide. But the remaining people of character will not accept and if they choose civil disobedience it will be entirely legitimate given all other options bar submission have been denied. Fools who parrot the establishment will call this insurrection. Those who can see past the self interests of the establishment will call it duty.

Many of the ones who have laughed Trump and his cohorts out of court being Trump appointed, of course, including 3 on the Supreme Court.
NQ's comment is very telling. We all know that he has a certain world view and has hopeless cognitive dissonance which makes him unable to change that view despite evidence piling up against him.
Added to that he has a paranoia which makes him believe that "they" are out to get him which affects his ability to assess evidence - early on in this thread you'll see him cite 2 BBC articles about football matches and F1 races being cancelled because of the pandemic as "fake news". It's the BBC so of course it's fake news...except both articles turned out to be entirely accurate.
Then there was the USPS person who NQ made all kinds of wild claims about all of which turned out to be false - he said the man claimed electoral fraud had occurred at his post office which he did not. He heard half a conversation and his "mind might have made up the rest" (verbatim quote).

NQ's comment about the courts is telling because it's a demonstration of his cognitive dissonance.
He claims there's loads of evidence of fraud which prove the election was stolen.
When it's pointed out that if there's so much evidence then why did they lose every court case (bar one, which was nothing to do with fraud) he responds that the courts wouldn't even hear the evidence - despite being shown video of judges talking about how poor quality the affidavits are.
And he claims the courts are compromised. Because of course, it has to be the courts, it can't be that the evidence wasn't quite as compelling as he makes out.

Some of NQ's claims should be very easy to demonstrate. He has claimed more people voted than were registered.
OK, let's see the evidence. His inability to provide any - for this or any of his claims - is telling. On the occasions he has provided some evidence, like with the USPS person - the claims have turned out to be entirely false.

The YouTube video is interesting and there may be something to this case. Although I would note that this dude previously did a video about the supreme court case and we know how that turned out...

Judges should not be appointed by politicians nor should they run for office. If you are worrying about reelection etc, then you start making decisions that will win you votes rather than what might in the best interest.

I believe our system is much more independent which is better.

Well okay, but that's not what we were talking about. That's not what the original post was referring to. Even so, you should look at the way our judicial system operates a bit more closely, btw. These guys are essentially outside the system and answerable to nobody. It's a terrible system that mimics the worst aspects of nobility.

Looks like Trump's about to be impeached again. Impressive. Only President in US history to be impeached twice.

Meanwhile more rats desert the sinking ship...

Oh he's definitely been kicked out.

    One week left.

80 million people kicked him out in November.
He got away with it the first time because the Republicans weren’t going to be stupid enough to kick out their own President. This time, there’s only a week left. But at least it should mean he can’t run again in 2024.

Youre just being you. Whats the point of impeaching him if it will have no effect?. He beat impeachment twice. Completed his term. Facts.
They just passed a resolution saying Pence should invoke the 25th amendment. What became of that? Empty rhetoric
