To be honest I do find myself siding with Trump here. The optics here don’t look good, this was a raid that was orchestrated by the DOJ and prima facie it does very much look politically motivated.
And I don’t think anything short of stealing top level foreign intelligence or nuclear secrets will justify this.

Edit: The Washington Post reports that intel about Nuclear weapons was on the recovery warrant, however will wait until it is unsealed. The thing is ex presidents have the privilege of access to classified intelligence but Biden blocked that with Trump so it’s hard to throw away the belief that again this is political (although there is a difference between being briefed on classified intelligence and taking it home with you)

I'm all for ex-presidents and actual presidents having the doors busted down by law enforcement. It should be a regular thing given the criminality of such people. But that's only provided it happens to ALL presidents and ex-presidents.

But I think we all know this is an exception rather than the new rule.

The fake news Washington Post is spicing up the story by adding a hint of nuclear weapons. Many stupid people will be aghast at these new revelations. But WaPo is primarily staffed with similarly stupid people these days (preaching to the choir) so their latest bullshit is just as transparent as the whole Russiagate nonsense. Or maybe the FBI and intelligence [sic] services really are as inept as they appear. Almost two years later they want their ultra secrets back, having visited before by invitation? Have we really reached the point where enough people will literally believe anything?

Trump is the nasty reality that exposes the whole lie that underpins western "democracy". The politicians are puppets that dance on strings pulled by the permanent state, the unelected, the unnamed. This is rather obvious to those with normal to above average wit. But Trump exposed the rest of the drooling population to this reality by cutting the strings and doing his own dance. That can't be allowed in the "free" west and this is why we've seen Russiagate and Jan 6th and now this bullshit. Doesn't matter if some people see through it, they can be cancelled.

If this one doesn't work then the CIA is hiring, provided you have a triple barrelled name and a barrel that can fire rapidly from multiple directions at the same time.

No he doesn't, his lawyers have the copy. And, as of now, the warrant is sealed until later today to give Trump's lawyers time to lodge an objection - which they won't be doing. Then the warrant will be unsealed. Not sure what the penalty for subverting that process would be, but you can imagine the fake news media pouncing on such a move as the greatest crime since the Holocaust.

Besides, everyone in Washington already knows what's in the warrant so this is one of those typical snow jobs that misdirect from the important issues. Garland actually said the warrant and all pertinent documents should be unsealed. If that includes the FBI affidavit then that might be something worth seeing, especially if it reflects the shoddy and biased and even criminal work of the FBI in prior attempts to get Trump.

Multiple reports in the US state he is free to release the warrant

William Jeffress, a criminal defense attorney who represented former President Richard Nixon, agreed that Trump is "perfectly free to release the warrant and the inventory of items taken."

As a lawyer, he told Insider, "I see no danger that release of the items would hurt his legal defense." However, he added, "it surely might hurt his effort in the media to characterize the search as baseless or abusive."

They left the warrant in Trump's house, mate. His lawyers weren't even notified of it.

Trump is a vile piece of shit. Anyone supporting him in anyway whatsoever is a fuckin cretin and anyone who thinks he's in any way anti establishment is an utter clown.

The guy is vermin and undoubtedly a criminal.

He thinks he's above the law and to see anyone, other than his troglodyte cult, defending him is sickening.

that last little bit in brackets is the most important fact - he took them home, putting his country and the world in danger = 25 years in maximum security IMO

He took them home because he wants/needs leverage/protection. Absolutely no doubt about his motives here.

It now turns out the FBI refused to leave the copy of the warrant, according to the mainstream so whatever. And there's no inventory as the lawyers weren't allowed to accompany the agents, according to the mainstream so whatever. Whatever. This is the circus the media wants to play. More division, more red versus blue, more engagement in a system that has long since been exposed as irredeemably corrupt. It's a bit like the dumb leadership selection over here. Food for fools. Whichever puppet prevails the same old strings are attached.

Now everyone will be rabidly engaged in the next sham elections and provided the majority remains invested in the crooked system the system will prevail, even as it collapses under the weight of the shit it has deposited.

I would have liked to see Epstein's customer list. You know, for the sake of the public good and all? But that's not what we're supposed to be talking about. We're all focused on CovidUkrainewarrants now. Because we need the truth dammit, to make a world that's safe for the children.
