I think we got him at the right time, tbh - following Wenger was always going to be a shit gig for someone, and he got another 2 years of working with Pep under his belt. Think it needed us to be at our lowest ebb to take a risk on such a young coach...

Yeah, this is huge for Arteta’s reputation - gives him instant status and credibility - and that makes it huge for us. We may not have much to work with this summer, but we’ll at least now be an attractive option for talented players - we’re a place where you have a chance of winning something and getting noticed, and we have a coach who has shown he can improve you as a player.
