Would like to see Elneny and Partey given a run of games together, it was the best midfield performance I’ve seen from us in a long time. Makes a nice change to constantly seeing it bypassed.

    Elneny, eh?

Who saw that coming? He would have been the first name on the list of deadwood to ship out.

He's quite limited really, offers nothing going forward, but his workrate and accurate passing have been crucial.

NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.

i always thought he was better than people said, always very tidy and his performances for Egypt showed he could go forward and create and score goals.

i suspect in the past he's been following orders to play defensively but he's finally getting a chance to grow at Arsenal and it's great he's doing well, a bit like buying a new player but doesn't cost us any more money

He offered a lot going forward yesterday.. I thought he was the MOTM for us after Pogba.
Arsene Wenger, the only football manager that got paid 8 million quid to do nothing but sit on his arse..

It was also one of the most inept performances you're likely to see from the opposition midfield. We'll see how it goes in the next game, and the one after that.

True but it was nice to see some competence for once.

I wouldn’t be totally shocked if we cocked it up against Villa this weekend. So we’ll soon see if this result has any profound meaning to it going forward.
