Lovely stuff, 3 points that's all that was needed. That last 20 minutes was pretty stressful TBH

We have developed a rather useful habit of crawling over the line and getting results. If we do finish top 4 then that will be why. But yeah, we need a proper striker who can make these more comfortable. We do it too often and it leaves us vulnerable to late sucker punches.

He's truly woeful. Makes me long for Gervinho. The worst thing is that in every situation, he is unwilling or incapable of doing the basics.

Anyone who has advocated for him to be in the first XI recently doesn't watch the games properly. Or they're a weirdo who wants Arteta to be proven wrong for sidelining their favourite individuals.

I think Martinelli is probably the biggest culprit recently for being wasteful. For all his good play, his finishing has been really poor this season. We have a collection of young attackers that are still early in their careers and haven't developed that ruthless instinct yet. Even one consistent goalscorer would make a massive difference to this team, but ideally you want two or three players who can be relied upon to be clinical in the final third. Odegaard himself should be in double figures for goals, but he'd be in triple figures for assists if Salah, Son or even Pukki were playing for us.

Every time Odegaard had the ball, he came close rather than making a run. He jogged to close down. Left Cedric two v one all the time, and made a complete balls up of the open goal chance. Waste of space that levelled up the numbers on the pitch
It's better to burn out, than to fade away.

What should have been a pummeling of some part timers winded up being a scrappy win. 3 invaluable points at this juncture, though. Now unto the scum where it would be truly poetic securing a top 4 finish a la WwtlaWHL and completely jizz worthy were we to end their top 4 aspirations.

Just got back - it was truly a game of two halves, great first half, dire second

We need to learn to see games out better, though we also need to shift trash like Xhaka and Cedric in the summer who, yes, did ok in the first half but reverted to shite in the second

Odegaard needs to take a shot more often but overall was great, such quality and vision on the ball

We should also keep Eddie if he's happy with starts in the League Cup and against lower-table-opposition teams

If we can get a draw Thursday eve, we really ought to see it home

Btw that new 'anthem' is beyond awful
