*ITV had live coverage from 6:40-9:00pm introduced by Brian Moore. Peter Brackley & Ron Atkinson were supposed to commentate but a mix-up of cables in Mexico meant that Brian Moore and Brian Clough had to describe the match instead from the studio.
Oh well, said channel have long learned their lesson since then, and are now the very byword of Slick Operation.........
To be fair, the idea of Brians Moore and Clough "commentating" on a game sounds infinitely more entertaining than the alternative.
Clough was a dreadful co-commentator at the best of times, so God knows what he came up watching off a monitor with all the 'supplies' the studio had to offer...
