I get it in America where the women’s game is at least on par if not bigger than the men’s game. You can’t sensibly campaign for equal pay in Europe though given the absolute chasm in popularity.
Wages are what they are because of TV and commercial income. Who’s going to be paying women that money without every women’s club having the same sources of income as men’s?

When the game attracts as much support - as in, millions of people are prepared to spend £60+ to go see games and companies are willing to spend as much on broadcasting and sponsorship rights then they can have equal pay. Till then, how do they think this is going to work? Where is the money going to come from?
