I see from reports over the weekend that Liverpool are planning a huge celebration at the Kop to lift the league trophy. They are apparently spending up to £1m on this.

Now in principle, that is fine they can do what they want. However, just a few months ago, they tried to furlough all their non playing staff because “finances were so dire”. On that basis, how can they justify spending a £1m on a celebration?
