Messi goes to a farmers league while Ronaldo stays at the highest level. Says it all.
To be fair, Messi is 34. You wouldn't expect him to be at his peak. Ronaldo is a physical freak, no-one should be that good at his age.
The point is though...it's just another depressing sign of how far we've fallen. Utd and City are whispered about with players at this level, we don't even get a mention.
Nor should we.
That much money for a player at that age is mental.

We just spent £120m in a summer, having furloughed our non playing staff last year to save money
But it’s about the ambition, and the idea of being even linked with players at this level.
