Pep has always had the cash to make his bullshit work by buying up the very best. For other teams who bought into his bullshit, Arsenal being the primary culprit, when you don't have the cash to buy the best all you end up doing is tap, tap, tapping. Yawn.
Pep is now branded as the greatest there ever was, thanks to the chequebook. But think back to Wenger's greatest teams. Not a hint of tippety-tap, just outright aggression, pace, precision and joy, never to be repeated now the dark continent of Europe has been explored. Once the map was filled in, the only way to repeat it was cash. And so, we ended up with cash deficient Arsenal tapping it around while the chavs and the gypos stocked up on the talent that allows Guardiola's bore-ball to actually work.
