Of course it’s a trophy. It’s an honour recognised by pretty much everyone in football. It’s a bit of an unnecessary showpiece granted but I don’t believe it’s something that shouldn’t be celebrated.
We’re not talking Spurs’ Hospital Cup or whatever shit they count as honours here.
