I don't think it takes a genius to figure out we're a laughing stock. Which is just as well given that it's a Stoke fan making the remark.

Wenger's wound so many opposition fans and teams up that there's no question these sides raise their games against us. Moreover, fans are more hostile playing us than they are against other teams (Stoke being an obvious example) I mean look at the threads about Wenger on the Stoke forum, and you realise how hated he is in this country. It's best for him to leave for his own sake, and for the sake of our football club as well.

This I don't agree with. Anyone would think that Wenger's sole role at the moment is to rub up the media, the fans and opposition managers the wrong way. As a result, he shouldn't be left with even a shred of self-respect or credibility.

All due respect, but that's absolute bullsh!t. There ARE manager out there who will continue to act in a disrespectful manner but still, conveniently, avoid the spotlight in doing so. Hughes not only had a spat with Wenger, but had a very public "handshake-refusal" with Pulis, too. Warnock is perhaps the most vile, foul-mouthed manager out there but, it's conveniently ignored. Kenny Dalglish very clearly told Wenger to "piss off" in front of the TV cameras last season, but again, it was ignored.

I don't think Wenger should stay, but to have us doubt his generally genial manner just cos some louts from Stoke have said he's a French so-and-so.....well, we need the courage of our own convictions, in all honesty.

then you are doing a good impression of him on GW. . . .I give about as much a fuck about what a Stoke fan thinks as I imagine N'gog is God did what we thought about Liverpool's start to last season! He joined the debates and gave his opinion and joined the banter at times, like the good bloke he is. . .

A lot of the people on GW have expressed that Wenger the one you label a wind up merchant should just Fuck Off. . . .if I were you I'd hope that sentiment doesnt stretch to all WUMs
