Interesting journey into work today just a shame that teachers don't have to make the same effort as the rest of us.

Meh. It was fine. Had W@H emails from three colleagues but they're being pussies.
Another colleague came in from Oxford and left his house at 5:30am to get here

Snow has never stopped me getting in to work. People should just man up tbh.

    Pretty much.

Well...there was one day when I worked in Clapham and needed to use both Tube and overground trains or buses to get in and nothing was working so I had to concede defeat that day. In general though people do give up way too easily.

I have never missed a day getting to work because of snow. I've been sent home in the past, but have always been able to get in.

As for schools, they have to stop this BS. If it really was a health and safety issue, kids in Canada would be off from December to March
If you don’t send this signature to ten people, you will become a Spurs fan.

Society is now one polished horde
Formed by two mighty tribes, the bores and the bored.

Isn't the issue that the blame culture in this country combined with the increasing US-style "no win, no fee" bollox means if some kid slips over on their premises they'd probably be sued. And who needs that?
