As for practical news that someone can use, there is bugger all other than a stream of 'reporters' and 'newsreaders' talking in mildly panicked tones about how they'll keep us up to date with what is going on, all the while doing everything but keeping us up to date with what is going on.

And no! I do not want to send the BBC my fucking pictures.

Yes. The storm would have been much, much worse. If they hadn't have warned everyone to stay in bed asleep between 1am and 7am, then the storm would have decided to be much nastier.

Had to go get my dressing changed this morning. A tree had fallen across the path I had to go along and I had to pick my way through the branches (could have gone round the long way but I was running a bit late)

    I'm the real victim here

I had to walk to work, when usually I would walk.

There were so many leaves and twigs about, that my shoes got mud on them.

I find this all so stressful.

Yeah, there were no overground trains at all. I went to Arnos Grove and took a northbound train so that I could get on a train and then travelled into London. In a team of 19, it is only myself and one other that isn't 'working from home'.

Also, I'd have bet the house on who the other guy would be that made it in.
