But it is a 4 day week, as will the next 2 be as MrsL got me a long weekend in Edinburgh for my birthday.

What's in your background that they'd be interested in?
Don't think there's anything I have to hide tbh, I just have visions of being locked up in a room with some scary bloke asking all sorts. Don't want to say anything wrong and balls up his job opportunity.
It's a really in depth process, I need to provide details of my family too.
I suppose they need to ensure anyone working for the government doesn't have any dodgy connections.
