Yay!
One week til holiday
It's better to burn out, than to fade away.
Centre Parcs.
Any good?
I went as a teenager and loved it. The pool seemed absolutely amazing (although now I've been to some bigger water parks in the US will probably seem quite tame now) but all the different sports you can try are good fun. There's talk of a family holiday there later this year actually (MrsL's family). Looking forward to playing MrsL's brother at badminton (I'm not terrible at it but haven't played for about 20 years and he's much younger than me and used to play at county level so will clearly hammer me)
Tried to book for 3 days a couple of years back, last minute during the half term hols. They wanted just under £5K for the family. I died of shock on the spot. But I got better. Moral of the story, spent it all on booze.

It can be pretty pricey but I think they do some pretty good deals at some times of the year.
Although MrsL's brother works in a school now so we might have to go at half term and it'll cost an arm and a leg
Cheaper to book a few days in a decent London hotel and then go and see the sights, many of which are free. Spend the savings on theatre, events. In the end, kids prefer the Underground than the very best holiday. "What did you do on your amazing holiday that took in the Royal Ballet, Buckingham Palace and The London Eye? - We went on the Underground, it was brill!"

I'm looking at a 3 day break in March because I've got some days off I need to use before April, so I can go midweek and get a cheap rate. Apart from accommodation, what do you actually get for your money? Are things like food and activities included?
I can't remember. Don't think food is included. Some activities might be.
