It was a good day - I was on honeymoon when you texted me about getting engaged. I like to think I inspired you

I'd already decided on it before your wedding, but yeah, you inspire me every day Letters.

Should I ask my girlfriends dad for permission to marry her? Do people still do that?

I didn't exactly do that but I did talk to the prospective in-laws telling them I'd like to propose.
MrsL's mum helped me pick a ring and everything.

It would be courteous to talk to them about it.

If you don’t send this signature to ten people, you will become a Spurs fan.

Her dad is a bit of an old fashioned mans man, I know he'd appreciate it. Just not quite sure how to broach the topic! Her sister () helped me pick the ring so I think I'll use her as a buffer for the parents. Maybe go for dinner or something.

Just tell him he's paying for it, then he'll know what's going on by default.

My brother-in-law asked for my permission before he proposed to my sister, since my Dad passed away.

I appreciated the gesture. Then I drank a bottle of scotch and passed out in his bathroom.
NOTE: The location of this post has been moved and the thread title (which was previously Wenger is Leaving) has been manipulated by a notorious pro-Wenger moderator. What was previously a message that contained no profanity and made a comment on a real life event has now been manipulated by a deliberately provocative title. An old and crude propaganda and censorship technique.
