Normal companies go to the wall, commie state funded crap endures while government thugs boast about chasing down little guys as the corporations take the piss. And not an ounce of shame, just an arrogant sense of entitlement. One hand washes the other as the blind eye looks on. The boys in the bombers create the problem and the social justice platoon rushes to the rescue, all expenses paid.

That remains to be seen. The level of state funding for the BC has been decreasing and the direction of travel is for the British Council to be entirely self funded in the next few years which is why there is quite an aggressive voluntary exit programme which will turn into voluntary redundancy programme next year. In any case, my job is funded entirely from the Exams business which is a business and self funded.

In brief, my job is, in the grand scheme of things, pretty pointless. But not for the reasons you imagine.
And I imagine your job is too.
