The Beeb can’t do comedy anymore
The two consistently best comedies in the last twenty five years came from Channel 4 and they are Father Ted and Peep Show (although the last couple of series of that were pretty shit)
Man Down is good too. Right on the cusp of being too silly but overall they get away with it.

Add the inbetweeners (second film wasn’t funny), Phone Shop, Brass Eye and others I can’t remember. Channel 4 pisses all over the Beeb.
As long as they don't take the piss.
