I recall some schools used to have a school enforcer on hand usually some ex-cop or ex servicemen. Is that no longer a thing. I certainly recall several incidents of students being strong armed by these chaps. Give these guys the guns.

If that ever came in I wonder how long it would be before a teacher got right ticked of with the behaviour of his students and used the gun! I taught in America, some of the students can be tricky to deal with. I can say also as a teacher, I didn't go into the profession to potentially shoot people, I doubt they would go for it.
There was a brief discussion a few years ago of teachers searching students for knives. I don't think I'd be up for that either.

Genius way to get soft, jellyback teachers out of the paint and introduce ex military staff so they enforce discipline and no how to handle a gun....until the ex military guy has Vietnam/Iraq flashback and starts shooting up the school like Rambo.
