The trouble with Cripps was never that he WUMmed, we all do that here and there. The problem with him is he IS a WUM, it's how he self-identifies.
Almost every post had WUMming in, it just becomes boring and pointless and I disagree it led to good debate.
NQ added more spice, I pretty much disagreed with everything he said but he was smart and articulate and his posts did create interesting debate.
I'd love it, just love it, if he came back but he made it clear enough that he won't. Shame.

Messageboards as a thing have had their day, replaced by chat groups on platforms like FB and Twitter. There has been a slow and steady decline in posts/day on this site and that decline started on the previous place.
You only need a few new, regular posters to freshen things up a bit but I don't know where they're going to come from.

That's true, forums like these are pretty ancient now and I'd wager most of the regulars on here are 30+ because this platform was going well before FB, Twitter etc. I highly doubt a teenager is going to see this a platform to vent these days.

I come on here more out of familiarity if anything, even when activity is slow. Plus the updates Maccy provides are little bit exceptional.

Chat forums, particularly for football are very outdated indeed, but I never became wedded to Facebook twitter as most of the world has so happy to still use these things. Such is the beast that is twitter people almost speak as if the real world is actually an alternate pointless platform and Twitterland is our actual reality.
