Thinking back to those days, those were not perfect days but they were good days. I used to watch that show and feel pretty damn content about it. It was a better time and a better place. And that's not nostalgia, it's just the reality of things. Wonder of anyone can genuinely refute that and feel it in their heart as they lie.

We didn't need fracking, we already sit on adequate deposits of coal, gas and oil. But, as usual, serving the nation comes a distant second to corporate profits. Add the green lunatics to the mix and you end up with scarcity. Scarcity means even more profit. Meanwhile our glorious leaders are signing up to suicidal international agreements that will exacerbate the crisis at home and give a free hand to our enemies overseas. The Chinese have been accelerating the pace of coal and gas fired builds while we shut ours down to save the planet from yet another computer simulated apocalypse.
