Yeah it's the fans fault the team is shit, it's the fans fault for travelling all the way to wales & being shit, it's the fans fault the only "signing" is someone who needs to keep fit for a couple months, it's the fans fault for not going to a sports psychologist to rectify their shit mentality, it's the fans fault for not attending the anger managment courses the club provides for those that express any negativety, oh do fuck off.

Wenger needs to tell Henry to not get involved with build up play....never ever.

He needs to play on the shoulder of the CB and just give them something to think about.

When he's played he's come deep to try and get involved and gives the ball away a lot.

And that's all I have to say about that.

Reckon we should leave it tbh. It was worth bringing him here for that winner against Leeds alone - that must rank as the best moment in our new stadium and won't be forgotten. But he's clearly not up to scratch and it wasn't great watching him misplace simple passes and get bundled off the ball yesterday. He got his last minute goal through a shot which, had it not been for the deflection, was a comfortable save for the 'keeper. And I don't think we should be pushing our luck any further because it could end up costing us.

It's effectively a choice between playing with 10 men and having 2 people who can find the net vs. playing with 11 men and having 1 person who can find the net.

I'd go with the 11 and hope Van Persie can keep on delivering.

Hes a bit shit and was bought for sentimental value and cos Wenger knew hes under pressure from fans so bringing Henry back would ease that pressure. 2 goals he got are a bonus though

Arsenal striker Thierry Henry will not extend his loan at the club and will be heading back to parent side New York Red Bulls next week, according to boss Hans Backe.

There was hope that the Frenchman would stay beyond February 17 after he was included in the Gunners' Champions League squad but Backe has quashed the rumours.

"When I spoke to him, he told me that he was 100 per cent coming back on February 17," he told reporters.

Many expected Henry to stay for a further three weeks to see him play in the north London derby against Tottenham.

But his manager insists that he will be back in New York ready for the start of the MLS season, adding: "What I know, it's only rumours. I haven't heard anything from them [Arsenal] about extending the loan."

During his brief stint back at Arsenal, the club's all-time leading goalscorer made a dream return by netting the winner in his side's FA Cup third-round victory against Leeds United, before scoring the second goal of his loan spell in the 7-1 demolition of Blackburn Rovers at the weekend.

Cos you never know, that might be the moment that decided it for RvP that he needs to stay. Does he want to win trophies with a mercenary bunch of khuntz or stay and become a legend like Henry?

On the pitch Henry saved us from a replay and potential elimination. Sure we may go out in the next round, but right now no-ones saying that being in the FA cup is pointless.

For my money it was as much his influence off the pitch as on it that informed the thinking behind his signing. He should have been both exemplar and wiser head in the dressing room. The intangibles may turn out far more important than the tangibles.

Thierry Henry refused to rule out a third spell with Arsenal - if he is asked - after grabbing a dramatic late winner against Sunderland.
Henry, who scored in stoppage time in the 2-1 win, returns to the New York Red Bulls after Wednesday's Champions League last-16 tie against AC Milan.
"If Arsenal need some help one day I will be around," Henry told BBC Sport.
Defender Per Mertesacker will miss the Milan game and will undergo a scan on Sunday to assess an ankle injury.
Use accessible player and disable flyout menus

Wenger praises 'unbelievable' Henry
The German defender had to be stretchered off after collapsing as he tried to control the ball, with Sunderland's James McClean capitalising on Mertesacker's misfortune to give the home side a second-half lead.
Reflecting on whether McClean should have played on, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said: "I thought about it during the game after they scored, but you cannot demand that [play to stop] because you do not know if the guy has gone down through injury or because he slipped.
"It's just in the action, you cannot demand to stop."
Substitute Aaaron Ramsey quickly equalised for Arsenal before Henry, who had come on for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, converted Andrey Arshavin's cross to push the Gunners into fourth.
Henry, 34, scored his 176th goal in 258 top-flight games for Arsenal. He said: "When you come on as substitute you want to help your team and change the game.
"The guy who scores gets the credit but the cross from Andrey Arshavin was perfect."
Arsenal's record goalscorer, re-signed for Arsenal on 6 January, having trained with the club during the Major League Soccer off-season.
Since rejoining, he has scored three goals in six appearances, including the winner on his second 'debut' against Leeds.
"You can never say never," said Henry, after he was asked whether this would prove to be his last Premier League game for Arsenal. "I felt just like a kid who scores his first goal for the team he loves."
Asked if Henry come back next season, Wenger said: "We will see next year. Maybe he might want to stop at some stage as well?
"It's a shame that a player of that quality is not in England or in Europe."
Henry leaves Arsenal on 16 February after the game against Milan at the San Siro in preparation for the start of the MLS season, which begins on 10 March, with the Red Bulls hosting Mexican side Pumas.
Wenger added: "I hope he will add some more [goals] in the Champions League on Wednesday. Certainly he got us the three points in a very difficult game."
Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill also joined in the praise for Henry: "He has been a terrific player in his time here - and he hasn't done too badly second time around as well."

Well, we clearly needed that too, but that doesn't make Henry's cameo this season pointless.
We have 2 more points than we would have without him and he was a fairly big part of us getting through a round of the FA Cup.

Might play his first game v Swansea in the FA cup. He's a bit shit now so doubt he'll start. KJH to play upfront

Sad thing is he'll be our best striker this year.

If we sign Henry, can't see us getting Huntelaar tbh.

Even if we don't sign Henry I can't see us getting Huntelaar.

Henry is the best we can hope for imo.

Henry would only play 20 minutes cameos, his main influence is probably going to be on the training pitch and for morale. I still think we'll try and get some proper signings in.

Yeah the cynical side of me says that Arsene views "proper" signings as "Gambles" from Ligue One and "Projects" from the Championship. :faint:

I absolutely hate our risky transfer policy, it's not even like he's saving the club money when he's wasting 10million on duds every other buy.

I would have said that but if he's available at 4 million it's within budget so possible.

Yeah but remember who our manager is, he never likes to overload the squad and I think with Giroud, Podolski, Henry, Gervinho and Walcott he'll be pretty content.

Gervais is going to the ACON and Walnutt could be off, so we could find ourselves light up front in the new year.

He said he'll buy (:haha:) and I think with the amount of pressure on him now he'll have a hard time trying to justify not spending, particuarly with the Emirates deal in place.

I don't expect marquee signings but I hope we'll add at least 2 players (not including Henry).

Maybe we will or maybe wil wait to get him on a free in the summer.

Well every paper more or less is saying this deal is done, so its more or less likely to happen, whether now or on a free come end of the season. Paying £4 mill is something i can see us doing saves the board having to spalsh out on a big name to keep the fans happy.

Like Mo'e its clear we wil sign a few, like Reina that one to is pretty much a go. Though in Jan we do tend to sign a few kids. Ala the Ade/Theo/Diaby window. Also we got Arshavin in Jan.

Yup, he knows top 4 is not a cert, which is what will make him buy, lie you say we won't sign the likes of Falcao, but Llorente, KJH, Holtby are in range tbh.

We may possibly grab Tello too.

A lot depends on what happens in these next 5 games or so. If we've managed to pull ourselves up to 4th and are looking a lot better than I don't think there we'll seriously enter the market. If Tottenham are pulling away and there's a lot of fan pressure, we might get an Arshavin type signing because there are a few bargains to be had. We might fight for Llorente. Huntelaar seems more gettable. It seems Holtby would be an awesome signing.

Holtby is pretty much Ramzi without with rubber legs, it would be a #decent upgrade.

It will be interesting to see if Schalke are forced to let them go, considering they're still in the CL and from the players point of view it would be odd to come here and be cup tied for a competition they could still play in.

Can't we just buy some pace please.

Zaha for pace.

Holtby for midfield quality.

KJH for goals.

Football Manager signings.

THIERRY HENRY is unlikely to make a return to Arsenal on loan — according to his club New York Red Bulls.

The former Gunners hitman, 35, spent two months at the start of the year back at the Emirates, scoring twice.

But talk of a third spell at Arsenal has been quashed by Red Bulls' head of global soccer Gerard Houllier, who claims he has heard nothing from Arsene Wenger.

Houllier said: “I find it strange what we hear in the media.

“If Arsene needed him, he would have called me or sporting director Andy Roxburgh, but this is not the case.

“I do not think both parties need to have this second comeback. Moreover, he became a dad.

“I think he will want to enjoy the holidays.”
