Theo and Ramsey’s inability to finish off simple chances or do anything that requires initiative costs us 3 points.

Still...lets start them for the next game. You never know - they might turn it around.

Disappointing from Song who was woefully bad today.

Not Van Persie’s day today but hit the post and bar with great efforts (the one that hit the bar was a peach).

Wrong and silly subs by Wenger again but you can’t really expect any different.

Grow some fucking balls, Arsenal, and learn to take the sort of chances non-league players could tuck away with a sidefoot.

We have not won a premier league match for ages yet he don't sign anyone who we need. Why sign Henry and put him on in the last minutes when were under pressure Ramsey and Walcott need to sit on the bench

wenger needs to go.

enough is enough.

we gave him 5 years of a youth project to get it right. he failed. not only did he fail, he made us the laughing stock of the league.

now he's bought experience, it still isn't working. players just aren't responding to him. players dont show urgency until 70th minute? who is to blame. the manager.

when you tell the press that '4th is ok' and '4th is a trophy', then players will relax and not take games seriously as they will be content with mediocrity.

new manager needed, fresh ideas/new approach.

Just 3 points away from the magic 40 mark

First half: missed numerous chances, should have been winning by 5 goals.

Second half: awful.

Walcott, Song, Ramsey, Vermaelen rubbish. All of them have been rubbish recently.

Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sagna the only positives.

Were we ever getting 4th though don't think it is a suprise if we end up outside the top 4 tbh, Too many unmotivated players and too many shite ones like Walcott. Once henry goes its back to the same shite.

We deffo miss Gev tbh it showed in the last 3 games.

We're clearly not getting 4th place now. Awful performances from the usual suspects, and crap substitutions from Wenger again. Walcott was awful and should have been subbed instead of Oxlade-Chamberlain. Rosicky came on and did sweet FA, which shows how weak our midfield options are, especially with Wilshere likely out for a long time. However, Wenger didn't see fit to add any new players during the transfer window, apart from another youngster for the future

Wenger's finished, he's destroying this club from within with the approval of our money hungry board.

Very boring second half.

Automated subs from the WengerBot.

Henry is basically a goalhanger. I'm wondering when Wenger will realise how silly it is to bring him on for someone who can create chances, whilst leaving Walcott on. Oh wait, he's untouchable.

Didn't see the second Theo miss but I can guess. The first miss shows why all ideas of him playing in the centre should be dispensed with on the terrible off chance it might ever happen. This kid is finished before he started. If we keep on playing him then we can keep expecting the same results. I haven't the faintest clue what Wenger is hoping will happen when he puts his name on the team sheet.

Otherwise that was close to our best team. Simply put, we lack quality. We've been shedding talent relentlessly for years and finally we've hit close to the bottom. RvP going will see us hit the floor.

Wenger and the board can't possibly justify 1 point from 12 at this stage of the season, not after the collapses we've seen season after season. They know what has been required but they've gone to every length to avoid doing it. Meanwhile they have raked in the cash and played money fights in the board room. They all should go so this club an get back to playing football.

Exactly, it's about time we put the football first. Gazidis can keep banging on about how we do things "the right way" and wax lyrical about our "value system" and "self sustaining" system, but it's BS. Our model is based on charging the most expensive ticket prices in the Premiership, trying to maintain a decent position in the league so that we can get the Champions League money and keeping the share price high. This is not football, and the neglect of the football side of things is coming back to bite us in the arse.

This team is so average. I know it's not fair to to compare them with great Arsenal sides of the past but we were sold the idea of a world class stadium and a team to match, instead who have a team who have been surpassed by Spurs and appear to be at the same level as Newcastle. Why the fuck do we let every transfer window pass us by? Why?!

I just cannot see how we will get 4th, and that's with Chelsea being rubbish as well, which just makes matters even more baffling.

We need change, something radical needs to happen if this club is going start competing as it should be.

Gervinho was very good at taking a defender on out-wide and getting a decent pass in - which was what he was good for. But I don't remember him doing that in recent months. Thankfully we'll find out soon when he takes AOC's place in the team.

The legwork Gervais puts in is far more effective than Theo's pub team runs that come off once or twice in about 10 attempts.

Even Gervais won't save us though.

reminds me when he got sent off 1st game of the season we missed him then, then the team did shit for a while and needed a good run to get better. same thing is needed again.

It's not a coincidence that we have been incredibly awful without both Arteta and Gervinho recently.

Unless he's fucked after his Ivory Coast duties, I'm pretty sure the difference to the team will be visible instantly.

More from Arsene Wenger, now, talking about his side's 0-0 draw against Bolton: "When you create six or seven clear-cut chances, it is difficult not to win and we do have regrets but the positives have to be that we didn't concede. We have to hope that the fact we didn't lose gives us confidence."

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger on whether his side can qualify for the Champions League after picking up just one point from their last three games: "The belief is there, the desire is there and the confidence is there. But, our wonderful Football Club is being raped by a board that could not give a hoot!

A lot of the sides over the last 5 years have not been far wrong. We just haven't had the experience we needed to see it through.

Lack of a captain, like RVP has been, and lack of something with bottle in the spine of the team.

The rest of it, talent-wise, has been more than capable of winning trophies, leagues etc.

I agreed with the approach of developing youth.

Wenger gave us Cesc ffs. And RVP. And countless other talented players....and that is over the last few years.

People going "I told you so" are talking, in he most part, out of their arses, as the teams we have had, have been very good teams, lacking in a few areas, for which Wenger and the board, are ultimately responsible for. I.e. Buying when we needed a boost, and sorting out tactics (especially in defence), when they needed to be sorted out, rather than trusting to chance.

The back end of last season, going into this current one, is the issue. Because we lost Fabregas and Nasri. Before we lost them, we needed to replace Denilson, Bender and a few others with more quality. But we took further steps backwards in the quality department, and lost those players too. I don't necessarily like Ceac of Nasri....as the game they play isn't one I like in terms of English football...but they were good players, nonetheless.

Santos, Merts, Arteta and Gervinho. Together with AOC, are all decent signings. They gave us some balance, and for a bit this season, we have looked much better. More of a team.

But the constant errors of judgement by our manager, the refusal to spend, and the inability of the whole of AFC to look any further ahead than their own wallets is biting hard. It's soul destroying.

But; The last five years? "I told you so?"

Whats frustating is last year we only needed a world class striker and a keeper and we'd have won the league, this year we have both but inbertween seems to be missing, its like we can't seem to get the balance right. I could understand if we neeeded a handful of players to progress but we only need 2-3 and we'd be up there.

I don't know what goes on upstairs, but do believe the manager is covering for the board for a reason only known to him. I just wish he could be more honest with us for a change, i just want to know what is really going on.

When he arrived, he revolutionised our game and brought most of us here the most incredible moments we will have in our lives as football fans. Memories most sets if fans will never come close to experiencing.

His time has passed, he needs to go, and if he can't be persuaded, he needs to be sacked.

For what he has done, he deserves respect and not to be labelled a cunt.

And while I do think Wenger needs to move on (for his own good if nothing else), unless the board all sod off too I'm not sure how much difference it will make.

Charlie, that is NOT going to happen. No prospect whatsoever. This isn't being reactionary, but this team are simply mentally and physically incapable of winning the CL and the same is probably true of the FA Cup.

Oh i know, sorry was speaking hypothetically.

I genuinely cant wait for Chamakh to come back as at least you know he is shitty and you expect little from him, i am sick of knowing how good this lot can be and then feeling let down when they under perform.

As Arseblog said this morning the weaknesses that were shown in the team last night just compound the sillyness of not buying anyone in January we needed another striker and a wide player with tricks.

|Also taking he Ox off instead of Walcott is shocking yet again from the manager. Little things about Wenger i used to put up with because we were winning are now becoming seriously annoying as we arent winning. The subs, the tactics, the bullshit, the lack of motivation and so on

i agree with this. why would a new manager suddenly get a fuck load of money to spend on players unless it means wenger is lying to us and board are right.

also on GB point, yes it is now time for wenger to go, but i will actually be sad to see him go, because of what he has done for us overall. greatest manager in our history and deserves taht respect but still time to go

Wenger is making such basic errors it's really an irrelevance whether we 'have a fuck load of money' to spend or not.

i get that, my point was more that there is deadwood in the team that need to fuck off and we do need more players, a striker, back up full back, midfielder as well. would a new manager be allowed to sign a goetze or a hazard or would he just have the same squad we have now? albeit one that will probs play better under better tatics

I fail to believe any manager is going to come in and just say 'ah ok this is the squad I have and it won't change'. Deadwood isn't just going to 'fuck off', it needs the manager to tell them they are no longer required. Why are you even mentioning Goetze or Hazard? I'd love us to sign one of those two players of course but that's something you should do once you have the basics sorted - Wenger isn't even coming close to doing that at the moment. We didn't get 4-4 at the Barcodes because of not signing Goetze or Hazard, we didn't lose to Birmingham in the Carling Cup final because of not signing Goetze or Hazard, we didn't lose 8-2...because of not getting Goetze or Hazard. We're not seventh because of not signing Goetze or Hazard.

Problem is the way he is going people won't care what he didfor us, he will be seen as some washed up old cluless oaf, at least if he went at the end of the season he have some dignity.

I just feel that greed is keeping him in the job and blinding him to see whats right.

As for a new manager getting money, it will happen as the board won't want to be seen as the reason we were doing so bad, so he wil be given funds and withing a few season the whole process wil start up again.

I'd be amazed if greed is keeping him in his job. He could have been at Madrid years ago.

Maybe he was sold a dream by the baord, i don't think that 7 years ago Wenger would have thought we'd be where we are now. The dream they sold him was much more, he have expected to win the cl by now. He have exprected us to win at least the fa cup in those years. I just think in the last few years Him getting paid and seeing the profits come in has clouded his judgments tbh.

dont agree with this, you can see by the way he acts taht he cares so fucking deeply about this club and is desperate for it to succed. he should have gone by now with these results but he is so determined to prove us wrong, to create new henrys with this crop of players and thats what blinding him

Well yes he is stubborn, that it very much what is blinded him, But he is still happy to pick up that 6 mill a year he gets. He has seen his way fail for 6 years, so for him to think it will work he must be either deluded, or must have something up his sleave with he will unleash in the coming seasons. As for not caring i never ever said he don't care about the club.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has backed his side to finish in the top four this season but admits they must treat every match "like a cup final".

A 0-0 draw at Bolton leaves the Gunners seventh in the Premier League with just one point from their last four games.

"There's a long way to go - I'm confident we can come back," said Wenger. "Every game in the championship is a cup final now. We have confidence but we have to produce it game by game."

Arsenal's point at the Reebok Stadium meant they avoided a fourth straight league defeat for the first time in Wenger's 16-year tenure.

But sitting five points behind fourth-place Chelsea with 15 games left, they face a struggle to finish among the Champions League places.

The lowest Arsenal have ended a campaign under Wenger is fourth.

They remain in contention for the FA Cup and Champions League and Wenger is hoping the return to fitness of several players will prompt an upturn in fortunes.

"We have gone through a difficult period," stated the Frenchman. "We lost three championship games [against Fulham, Swansea and Manchester United] but we could have won them. "We go into a period where we play in the FA Cup, we play in the Champions League and combining all these three will be difficult, so it's important that we do not have more injuries.

"We have [Bacary] Sagna back, [Kieran] Gibbs is not far and [Mikel] Arteta is back, so overall I hope we can cope with it."

Wenger has been heavily criticised by some Arsenal supporters in recent weeks but Bolton boss Owen Coyle believes the Gunners will bounce back.

"They've suffered with injuries to key players," said the Scot. "But when Arsenal have their full disposal of players they can go toe-to-toe with anybody.

"Who's to say that Arsenal can't win the FA Cup or Champions League? I certainly wouldn't write them off.

"They've one of the best managers we've had in world football, they've an elite squad of players and there's no doubt it only takes one big performance, one big result to kick-start that momentum again.

"I'm pretty sure Arsenal will look to be in amongst the honours when they are handed out at the end of the season."

the fact wenger didnt break the bank this january for a gotze or erikssen is the man waving the white flag on 4th place and his arsenal career for me

Who is say Gotze wanted to come to us and Erikssen we have never been in for him. As for waving the flag on 4th, i think by the time the window shut they knew 4th was not going to be certain this year and decided to wait to see if we finished their or not.

As for wenger he is too much like Rafa benitez was in his final season, personally i think he will go end of the season, because i have not seen the fight in him this season that i have previously. im suprised he has not said we can win the league like he normally does even if er are 12 points behind.

Ramsey has played more games then he should have, Song seemsto be dead as well, its clear we.ve missed Jack even diaby to a point. Wenger should drop Aaron and play Arshavin behind the front 3 with song and Mikel as DM's protecting the back 4.
