Couldn't find a thread to worship this awesome sex god, so I thought I'd make one. (Though Cripps will probably find me one in a minute, and post the link, as are his twatish ways).

He has as well you know shown tremendous desire and spirit recently.
He is brilliant at defending. Truly great. Second to none when up against a stepovering ponce.
The one criticism I had of him was that he's absolutely terrible going forward but he has been decent at that in the last few matches.

Sagna, Theo and Rosicky. They really have upped their game in recent weeks. Sagna has learned to do what seemed to be impossible for him, cross a ball. It makes all the difference. Theo has found composure, which is almost unbelievable. Rosicky has pace and a desire to go forwards rather than sideways and back. That's just crazy. If only they can keep this up to the end of the season. City are still due a collapse. They'll disintegrate in the final weeks because they are a team full of shit mercenaries and they have a shit manager. Utd will eat them alive and we'll be a lot closer than 12 points away from them if we can just keep doing what we are doing. Plus we have that 6 pointer coming up.

Probably the the best article I've ever read.
Sagna  .
He has always been consistently good at defending. I felt we missed a bit attacking-wise with him in the team because he couldn't cross for shit or do anything other than slowly edge the ball forward to Theo, who'd then slowly edge the ball back to Sagna, who'd take a few steps and edge the ball back to Theo, who'd then run towards the corner flag and play for a corner, then run back very smug into the penalty area. But now he seems to have added a lot as an attacking threat. Complete RB at the moment.

sagna is miles better but the defence has been working well as a unit. the rule is to never change a successful defence, plus sagna has only started training so im assuming he hasnt had any mentoring from bould over the summer, unlike other defenders. he might be completely out of place in this new defence.

2-0 at the moment, Eisfeld and Gnabry combining for the first - I think Gnabry scored though I can't really decipher the Arsenal live tweet. The second was a Wheelchair corner, Miquel flicked it on for Akpom to head it in.
Sagan played 61 minutes.

It's good how the u-21 team's being used now. Santos and Coquelin got games too. In previous years you'd see these fringe squad members go weeks without playing any football when fit. I guess one of Fabianski and Mannone would be playing too but for injury. Can put out a very good team alongside Segrio Gnabbers and the others. Sagna back in when fit for sure.
All of the above are quite harsh on Jenkinson imo. Hasn't done much wrong over the last few weeks and is far better going forward than Sagna. MOTM in a couple of our games as well.
He should keep his place until he does something to show he doesn't deserve it.

I agree.
If Wenger makes the change, plays Sagna and he screws up, Wenger will get panned as some kind of fool.
Come to think of it, he'll get panned as soon as Jenkinson makes a mistake.
I'm happy whoever plays RB, but it would be a bit harsh yet not entirely incomprehensible if Jenko made way for Sagna.
I think we have a higher chance of winning if Sagna plays because he's just a better defender. But I enjoy watching Jenkinson in the team more. Like a father proud of his son's artwork from school that's a little bit shit but still has to go on the fridge.

GHELkinson in the PL, for his engery and GHEL qualities.
Sagan can stick to the +1 CL games.
GHELkinson has done little wrong defensively. Even last season, when he was supposedly the worst player ever after the whole patchwork team had a mare at Old Trafford, he did little wrong in the games he played. He looked technically deficient, yes, but not defensively. It's like the Mertesacker thing; a couple of poor moments in a big game and suddenly they did everything wrong and every performance they gave was dreadful. The reality was that both were generally solid, if not fully functioning Arsenal players yet.
GHELkers now looks comfortable on the ball and composed in advanced positions. Much like dropping Mertesacker last week proved destabilising to the defence, there's no reason to drop GHELko. Sagan will eventually get enough games considering injuries are inevitable. The GHELkster has been the most consistent player in the team this season. He's fully earned his starting spot. It's for Sagan to now show why he's the better full-back.

It's a nice issue to have but I don't think there's any doubt Wenget will play Sagan once he is 100% fit.

Not really, Sagna is the best RB in the league. Jenks has done well but to play him ahead of sagna is just silly.
But it is down to Jenkinson to give Wenger that headache. End of the day if the club were to sell Sagna in the summer we know we have a ready replacement, something we have not had when we sold previously.

Sagna has five years of consistency on his side. As a full-back, he has shown very few signs of his standards slipping - unlike say, Evra - and most would definitely have him as the best right-back in the league. Maybe harsh on Jenkinson, but Sagna to me is 100% first XI when fit. I have confidence he will perform whoever he comes up against. Destabilisation of the defence seems unlikely. To be honest, these fantasy selection dilemmas rarely pan out as you want. Jenkinson will get injured against Norwich, Wenget will rush Sagna back and he will have little bit hamstring and we will be left with Djourou.
Vieira was at the practice game today, presumably to tie-up Sagna's terms with Man City. You could see this one happening as soon as Sagna opened his gob to say something a little critical of the club.

Bacary Sagna feels completely at home at Arsenal and believes his comfort is bringing out his best form.
Several Emirates Stadium stars have left over recent years and Theo Walcott is the most recent player facing an uncertain future as his contract stand-off continues.
But 2007 signing from Auxerre, Sagna, who returned from a second broken leg at the end of October, does not appear to be planning to go anywhere.
"It has been magic. Arsenal is like my family. My personal family is in France but I feel at home here. I feel happy to come training. I feel relaxed," he said in the Daily Star.
"There are not many big clubs where you feel that confident. I think I have progressed a lot. That was my target. To come to such a big club and improve.
"I was a bit nervous, because my English was very basic. I was leaving my family and friends and it was a new life.
"I used to be stressed before games but now I am totally relaxed, because of my team-mates and the manager."
