This is the reason ManU have not been the force in CL as they are in England.

They dont have the favourably disposed officials giving them pens (and sending off one of the opposition).

Plus other teams in Europe dont think its their duty to show up and bend over with the required lubricant in hand.

Can any one tell me the last time a united player was sent off at OT

As GP said, it's not even a foul. Just a palm on his back, no handful of his shirt. But more concerning would have to be the Chelsea linesman yesterday and this one today. Very dopey or very blind, as both were looking straight at the play. At least Wigan can feel a little better now.

All the focus will be on criticising the officials. Not one person or 'pundit' will say anything negative about Young. He is scummier than Suarez.

Also, Scholes at the age of 67, is the best English midfielder by a continent along with Wilshere. Not sure if that's damning of English football or appraisal of Scholes. Anyone who thinks Scholes was crap in recent years only needs to see that he (along with Webb and his cronies, of course) has been the biggest influence on their recent League form.

Completely turned on Balotelli after today's game. I thought he was an idiot - but a funny idiot...in the way Mad Jens or Szczesny might be an idiot. But I didn't think he was this much of a ****. That was worse than Shawcross' tackle IMO. There was intent there by the way he set himself with a little jump beforehand.

He might've had a hard time growing up and taken racist abuse etc. but at a certain point, you can't forgive malicious behaviour. He could've put Song out for a year with that.

Also a shame MOTD talk about Man City being shit more than the fact that Arsenal made them look poor. Possession-wise and defensively, I think this was Arsenal's best performance of the season. Finishing was missing but a lot of bad luck was involved.

Never estimate the power of Arsenal injuries. If he, himself, is not injured, he will have plenty of games. Not sure games is what he needs to improve in any case. The manager needs to have a proper word with him and tell him to cut out all the silly shit. Keep it simple first and foremost. Every time he tries a backheel, fine him.

just heard Raul will be available on a free at the end of the season. Any takers.......Hes better than Chamack.

He is. Although, so is the Creme Caramel in my fridge. I wouldn't mind seeing Raul here for one season, he's pretty much guaranteed to score in Europe. One downside is that it would get in the way of next season's guest appearance by a former Invincble though. The masochist in me is hoping for Cygan.

Chaos in the Spurs defence, and Norwich take advantage in clinical fashion. Younes Kaboul takes a heavy touch and is robbed by Anthony Pilkington, Kyle Walker makes a challenge but only hits it into Ledley King, and the ball runs kindly back to Pilkington who buries it from six yards. Circus time in that Spurs back four.

Talking point central at White Hart Lane, stopping at shattered dreams parkway. Norwich think they should have a penalty as Ledley King gets a fistful of Grant Holt's shirt, but there's nothing doing. Spurs break down the other end and when Jake Livermore releases Jermain Defoe the England man produces a masterful dink into the net. Great finish, but should Norwich have a penalty?

GOALNewcastle 1-0 Bolton - Hatem Ben Arfa
Stop all the clocks. Turn off your phone. Hatem Ben Arfa has just scored a potential goal of the season here. I kid you not. The little Frenchman picks up the ball inside his own half, with his back to goal. He skips away from Sam Ricketts with a hell of a flick, turns and races in on goal. He beats Mark Davies, then bursts beyond two more defenders in one movement before slipping the ball into the corner. Just brilliant.
