Eh, I don't think anyone on this board was "salivating" at that prospect, rather they were angry that the board and manager had let things slide so much that the Spuds looked set to finish above us.

He knows that of course, but Lettuce is one of the biggest WUMs on GW IMHO.

One win in eight. Loss to Norwich.

Harry, please, please don't say it was 'one of those days'. We were:

Spineless
Useless
Gutless
Heartless
Mindless
Pathetic
Supine
Moronic
Laboured
Panting

and fucking useless.

I don't blame the players much. I blame whatever bright fuck at the club who had the bright idea to loan out Pienaar, Corluka and Bassong. All at once. Leaving us with a squad that struggles through the end of the season while everyone else is roaring ahead.

The spuds have now got Newcastle and the chavs on their arse - they are going to drop out of the top 4 - LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL St Totteringhams looms larger and this time it's soooo beautiful because they really must have thought they'd finally done it. Then it was snatched away last minute. It doesn't get better. Shame we can't play them again. That 5-2 finished their season - who were they playing again? Oh yeah it was us! And even 2-0 up, you couldn't write a better script.

Fulham away is one of the toughest fixtures around atm. They've got a few cracking players.

That Frei kid was phenomenal. Looked very much like Ox with his movement and close control.

Dembele is also very good. Dempsey has become a real talisman for them. It really would be fantastic having an experienced player with goalscoring pedigree. Badly lacking goalscoring att.mids. He would have a similar impact to Arteta and, dare I say, Sagna in terms of consistent 8/10. What'll make Arsene not go for him is his age - he doesn't like paying the premium for 29 year olds (even though he did for Arteta; that was a panic buy).

Be stupid to think like that, unless he is thinking of playing AOC in that role or AA does not get sold.

He would be a luxury (in the true sense of the word...not a luxury like Arshavin's a luxury), but given we don't have a second-striker type set-up any more with Cesc gone, I think there are other areas that need a bigger look. If he doesn't sign a new deal with Fulham and is looking to move, worth a punt. I always think it's worth going for a few oldies (in relative terms) because they know the score. As Letters (I think it was) said - the only way we can become a formidable force again is if we get a squad of strong characters - ones that necessarily won't conform to the manager's instructions and will just take responsibility. Much like Arteta did yesterday.

Spurs seem to have a very convenient get-out clause on the likes of MOTD with this England job thing. Obviously, as it's all about Redknapp being fantastic, none of it reflects poorly on him. But the supposed 'disruption' of the England situation is bullshit. Happened right when they had a set of difficult fixtures upcoming. It's all levelled out now. Even in their 'genuine title challengers' days they got bummed by the Manchester clubs and should have lost to us. Simply a good team with a wideboy manager that got overhyped and now know their role.

No. Kenny won't be sacked. If he leaves it will be at the end of the season

And probably 2/3.So you expect them to lose then?

Seriously though, whats gone wrong at Liverpool?

It's the actual running at the players that causes the so-called "bad defending" though. When a player is running with the ball at that pace, it's insanely hard to defend against, causes panic, indecision etc, and that's what messi does on a constant basis and makes defenders around him look like chumps.

Great, great goal.

I see somewhere (think it was on here) that Kenny is living in the past the premier league has change so much since he was manager of Blackburn and he hasn't.

I don't expect to win, put it like that.

We've gone from looking decent and not being able to score, to not being able to play at all. Our signings haven't helped things.

Only Bellamy, Suarez and to a certain extent Enrique can be classed as good signings. Says a lot when Bellamy only has one working knee. Can't really comment on Doni and Coates is too young to judge. The rest have been shite. Carroll will probably go down as one of/the worst transfer of all time, which sums things up. Henderson looks scared and is consistently played out of position. Adam was never any good and is as mobile as a tub of lard. Downing is a confidence player and when he plays on the right realises he is a premier league player.

Frankly it's hard to defend him. Hopefully we're at the bottom of the trough, but I don't think we are.

The above post may also be true, though I also think he's too close to the club.
