Yes, he's a great player but nobody outside Spain comes anywhere close to RvP in the last year, top striker in the world by a distance, carried his team for large chunks of the season, plus the brilliance of some of his goals provide season highlights by themselves. If anyone other than RvP wins it this year it will reduce the whole process to beyond the joke it already is. This is as clear cut as when Ronaldo put in a similar season.
