Ok so while they played for us only, not bothered about what they have done or said since they left or how they left or even why they left.

Who was your all time Arsenal X1 using the old 4-4-2 formation?

For me;

--------------------------Manninger--------------------

---Sagna--------Campbell----------Bould------Winterburn

--Limpar--------Petit--------------P Davis---------Bobbie P

--------------------A Smith-------Henry-----------------

Well, it kind of depends on who you think were the best players in their respective positions.

I tried not to be too rose-tinted, hence my inclusion of one Ashley Ceeeunt.

Much as love players like Rocky, Winterburn, Smudger, Wright, Limpar, Davis etc etc....it's fairly obvious to me that Henry, Bergkamp and Pires are probably the bext three players ever to have played for us

No Henry??? That's a wind up. Like you I was pissed off by the way he left us first time round and dumped his wife when they had a little kid but he has gotta be in the best-ever team surely.

Why? Brady could get stuck in and was always involved. Price played the Viera role ( not as well of course) and Rix and Brady got forward. Brady was so good it was difficult for the opposition to get the ball off him so Viera would not have that much to do.

We did exist before the 90's. So nobody includes players from a time when Arsenal won 5 league titles in a decade or our first double. Should be pick your all time 11 from players I've seen

Web definition of creche: a hospital where foundlings (infant children of unknown parents) are taken in and cared for. (Sounds about right)

Hey make your question clear and dont get pissy when somebody remarks on it. All time 11 not the same as favourite 11. A question asks for your all time Brazilian 11 i'm including Pele and I never saw him play. If you're an Arsenal fan asking for an all time 11 I'm assuming you're aware of the history of the club so all time is considering all Arsenal players and eras

Where does it say favourite in the question. Anyway who cares I didnt expect a moan from the op. I'm obviously unclear on the difference between favourite and all time

Your all time Arsenal X1

I think the key is in the word "your" i don't think anyone would have made a big deal if you had put Cliff Bastin or Ted Drake on there

Jesus you try and have a bit of fun

Lauren Keown Toure Winterburn

Parlour Petit Vieira/Song Pires

Bergkamp/Wright Henry

I used to love Vieira but I am starting to dislike him with every passing second because of his association with City. Bergkamp vs Wright, personally I have a thing against Bergkamp for scoring against Argentina in 98. Absolute legend though!

Strictly speaking Bastin & Drake would get close to this & Alec James was thought by some to be the best in the world at the time. From 1980 onwards.

Best: Seaman, Dixon, O'Leary, Adams, Cole, Vieira, Parlour, Brady, Henry, Bergkamp, Wright - Subs Jennings, Sansom, Petit, Rocastle, Smith

Favourite: Seaman, Dixon, O'Leary, Adams, Sansom, Vieira, Brady, Limpar, Ljungberg, Wright, Henry - Subs Jennings, Campbell (Sol), Parlour, Rocastle/Arshavin, Woodcock.

Surprising O'Leary, Rocky, Smith etc don't get a mention from the quick glance I had. I know smudger was a boring bastard & unlikely to ever woo a crowd with his silky skills, but he could put away a goal or two.

I like that, got the blend of shite & wankers about right. Sure I can come up with worse than Jeffers & Lydersen though if I have time. There should always be room for Carter to start too.
